Josh is an experienced litigator and corporate advisor. Josh’s experience includes advising companies, entrepreneurs and individuals on litigation exposure, licensing deals, corporate organization and securities matters. Most recently, Josh served as General Counsel to a top 1% digital currency company, Nano Foundation, with a market capitalization in excess of $100 million. 

 

As a corporate litigation associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, Josh handled matters involving complex financial transactions, including: advising a major financial institution on potential liability arising from imminent collapse of managed mutual funds, advising the University of Phoenix’s parent company Apollo Group, Inc. on liability arising from securities fraud charges against the institution’s chief executive, advising a national law firm on potential liability arising from indictment of named partner, advising a major European telephone services firm on drafting a new intellectual property licensing agreement in response to competing, and potentially infringing, new technologies. Josh was also hired to represent Delta Air Lines on a Department of Justice requested 2nd Request Review in connection with a proposed merger between Delta Air Lines and Virgin Atlantic. Josh has also handled labor and employment matters for the City of New York.

 

Josh is dedicated to donating his time pro bono to worthy causes. Josh's pro bono work has included traveling to Harlingen, Texas to represent an asylum applicant in a successful bid to end his confinement after a harrowing escape from a war-torn country and advising the Clinton Global Initiative on the feasibility of offering insurance products to businesses in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Josh was also the Publisher and Editor of Supreme Court Review and Supreme Podcast, a non-profit media service dedicated to providing non-lawyers a non-partisan resource to explore and better understand the work of the United States Supreme Court. 

 

Josh is admitted to practice law in New York and has litigated before the New York County Supreme Court, the Appellate Division, First Department, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts, and the Delaware Court of Chancery. He is also an active member of the Federal Bar Council.
