Matt’s practice focuses on commercial transactions and intellectual property in fashion, technology, media, and art. Matt has advised on, negotiated, and closed various transactions such as licensing agreements, asset and stock purchases/sales, joint venture agreements, and technology services contracts. Matt previously served as a partner at WolfeSBMC, an intellectual property and corporate law firm where he advised Fortune 500 and other clients on brand creation and protection, IP licensing and monetization, and IP aspects of other corporate transactions.

Prior to that, Matt worked as a foreign associate at the leading Argentine law firm Estudio Beccar Varela, where he worked in the corporate law group drafting deal documents and performing diligence and document review for international private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, technology and outsourcing deals, and other corporate transactions. Matt also supported the litigation group advising clients on matters before international arbitration panels and U.S. courts.

In addition to his work as an attorney, Matt has served as a partner at strategic advisory firms leading teams to identify market opportunities, create strategies, originate and develop strategic relationships, and close transactions that achieve top-line growth. In that capacity, Matt has served fashion, technology, media, and other businesses in negotiating asset purchases and sales, strategic partnerships, licensing arrangements, and distribution deals.

Matt also serves as a Principal and the President of New York City-based impact solar developer, Sol Purpose Development Company. He leads all project development, finance, and regulatory efforts and manages multidisciplinary teams made up of internal personnel and external market-leading financial, industry, and government partners.

Matt is admitted to practice law in New York. In 2010, Matt was certified by Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation after graduating from Brooklyn Law School in 2007 and Wesleyan University in 2001.
